Jonny Boyle rocks with Gary Moore

It's well known that Gary Moore's concerts can be heard for miles around beyond the immediate vicinity of his amplifiers. And he upped the ante again on the Stuttgart/Winterberg stop of his German tour by inviting Jonny Boyle, the lead singer of The Urge, up on stage for vocal support.

While opening for the legendary rock star, the Newcastle band had already demonstrated that they could play powerful rock'n'roll and really set the mood in the concert hall. Jonny was already backstage when Gary Moore approached him: "Come up on stage, sing what I sing, and let's rock!"

The Urge's lead singer didn't need to be asked twice. Boyle followed Moore up on stage and together they scored a first-rate performance. The audience loved the show put on by the pair, and they weren't the only ones. "It was the highlight of my career so far," Jonny said after the show.
