Gerrit Schumann is co-founder and CEO of Music Networx. He was previously a private investor holding various direct investments in technology, financial and media companies.
He was an early Internet pioneer who co-founded global e-commerce company element 5 and served as chairman of element 5's executive board from 1998 to 2005. The company was acquired by Digital River, Inc. (NASDAQ: DRIV) in 2004. Up to 2005, Gerrit was a member of Digital River's supervisory board.
Before his time at element 5, he was a co-founder of share-it! in 1996, a web-based service for selling software. Prior to founding share-it!, he was an IT consultant for various international clients in Europe, Asia and the USA.
Georg Bergheim is COO of Music Networx in Cologne. From 1989 to 1993, Georg was head of the Artist & Repertoire division of BMG Ariola in Munich. He then founded a management and music publishing company in Cologne along with Dr. Andreas Scheuermann and Roland Temme.
The company managed the Harald Schmidt Show Band, among others, and organized sponsoring for Westernhagen's "Affentour".
In 1996, Georg Bergheim founded GB Music & Mediaconsulting, which specialized exclusively on providing consulting to international artists such as Jon Lord (former member of Deep Purple), Sally Oldfield and Spencer Davis.
Christoph Lange is co-founder and managing director of simfy. He studied at the University of Mannheim, where he majored in marketing, information systems, and English studies.
In the course of his studies, Christoph interned at PricewaterhouseCoopers and Montblanc. In 2006, he was awarded the DAAD GoEast scholarship to spend part of his studies at the renowned Corvinus University in Budapest.
While studying business administration, he co-founded simfy in 2006. One year later, he was awarded the Karl-Steinbuch scholarship for an innovative blog opinion and sentiment analysis tool. Since 2009, Christoph has also been working as a lecturer at the University of Popular Music and Music Business in Mannheim.
Steffen Wicker is co-founder and managing director of simfy. He studied business administration at University of Mannheim, where he majored in marketing, information systems, and English studies.
During his studies he also gained practical experience at Siemens AG and Deutsche Bank AG. Steffen spent part of his studies at the renowned Rotman School of Management in Toronto. Upon his return, he co-founded simfy in 2006.
He was awarded the Karl Steinbuch scholarship in 2007 for an innovative blog opinion and sentiment analysis tool. In 2009, Steffen was also granted membership for the Accelerator Program.
